The CPA
I’m Dustin Wielenga, CPA, a U.S. international tax advisor. I’ve worked with cross-border clients since the start of my public accounting career in 2013, including roles at regional and local firms, before launching Blue Giraffe CPA in 2025.
Cross-border tax challenges are a practical reality for many individuals and businesses. I focus on this work because it is technically demanding, fact-specific, and meaningful for clients navigating multiple tax systems.
I enjoy working with clients to meet their lifestyle and financial goals, while keeping their tax complexities to a minimum. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, reading, and running.
The Name
Blue Giraffe CPA is named in remembrance and honor of my dear son Arlo who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep just shy of three months old. His baby blanket featured a giraffe pattern, which inspired the firm’s name.
While we miss him immensely, we are grateful for the time we had with him, and look forward with hope.
